TAJ party president Fatma Zohra Zerouati receives a Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc delegation

The president of the Rally for Algeria's Hope (TAJ) party, Ms Fatma Zohra Zerouati, received on Thursday 23 May 2024, at the party headquarters, the Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc, represented by its President Mr Djelloul Chetouane and an accompanying delegation:

• Ms Ouidad Hamza, in charge of legal affairs;
• Mr Abdelkader Kotcha, adviser;
• Mr Mohamed Lotfi Bellil, Secretary-General;
• Mr Madjid Miloudi, in charge of monitoring and evaluation;
• Mr Mohamed Berbouchi, expert adviser on Greater Sahara and Sahel affairs;
• Mr Wahid Boutarik, in charge of media;
• Mr Abdellah Khelifa, in charge of students and scientific research;
• Mr Mohamed Maarouf, in charge of education, training and human development.

The meeting featured a serious and frank dialogue, with converging views between the party's leadership and the Bloc's leadership on the need for everyone to shoulder their national responsibility and mobilise for the success of the upcoming presidential election — a milestone consolidating the constitutional path and an opportunity for strong popular support for the institutions of the Republic, strengthening the internal front.

The delegation invited the party to adopt the Bloc's reconciliation initiative by spreading and improving political awareness within civil society and restoring trust between citizens and political parties, through continuous awareness-raising on the importance of broad participation.

The Bloc's delegation also presented the conclusions of the initiative's declaration and its proposals on national reconciliation and cohesion. The meeting ended with a shared commitment to continued dialogue and cooperation on these major objectives, welcomed by both sides.
