Causes and positions
The causes the Bloc stands for.

National unity and a strong home front
Protecting society against destabilisation through civic awareness and coordination among organisations.
For the Bloc, Algeria’s strength starts with a cohesive home front: citizens aware of their rights and duties, an organised civil society, and strong State institutions supported by society.
To this end the Bloc launched its “Community Immunity” initiative in 2025–2026 to strengthen vigilance, prevention and awareness, and to build an associative network able to detect social problems early.

The Sahrawi people’s self-determination
Completing the decolonisation of Western Sahara in line with UN principles and resolutions.
The Bloc’s structures include the “National Civil Society Committee for the Sahrawi Cause”, one of its thirteen standing committees.
The Bloc carried this position to the UN General Assembly’s Fourth Committee in New York in October 2026, and its delegation took part in events in the Sahrawi refugee camps, consistent with Algeria’s steadfast position.

Standing with Palestine
Supporting the Palestinian people’s right to an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.
The “National Committee for the Palestinian Cause” is one of the Bloc’s standing committees and follows developments through statements and op-eds.
Bloc delegations have visited the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Algiers several times, and the Bloc has condemned the aggression on Gaza and forced-displacement plans.
Details and news
Regional security and the Sahel
Analysis of the Sahel and Libya, and support for Algeria’s approach based on political solutions.
The Bloc’s President, Mr Djelloul Chetouane, publishes a series of analyses in the national press on the crisis in Mali and the Sahel, the peace and reconciliation agreement, and international rivalries in the region.
They stress that Algeria’s security depends on a stable neighbourhood and that inclusive political solutions remain the best path.
Details and news
Youth, diaspora and participation
Linking young Algerians abroad to their homeland and encouraging civic and electoral participation.
The statutes call young people “the beacon of the future and the pillar of the State” and list linking diaspora youth to the homeland among the five objectives.
Standing committees are dedicated to youth initiatives and talent, to students and research, and to women’s activities.
