Bloc installs national mobilisation body and sets out its programme for the presidential election

The Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc installed its national body for campaigning and mobilisation, made up of officials and national figures, to help mobilise citizens and raise awareness of the need to turn out in large numbers for the presidential election.
The body will carry out activities through municipal and wilaya sub-committees to promote strong participation in the upcoming election and the success of the democratic event of 7 September, with the Bloc backing candidate Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
In the same context, the newspaper Africa News published an article by Nadji Abdelali entitled 'Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc sets out a programme to accompany the presidential election', reporting statements by the Bloc's President, Djelloul Chetouane. He explained that the programme has three phases: pre-campaign, campaign and voting. In the first phase — collecting endorsement signatures — the institution achieved 43 per cent of the total forms it received, a lower rate than expected owing to tight deadlines and weak internet connectivity, which held up the certification of some 3,700 signed forms.
He also announced the preparation of wilaya campaign offices in 25 wilayas and the choice of three border wilayas — Tlemcen, Tindouf and El Oued — to host the largest rallies, affirming that the Bloc's team was ready to make the second and third phases a success.
