Bloc marks the 77th anniversary of the Nakba and reaffirms Palestinians’ right of return

Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc — National Executive Bureau — Algiers, 15 May 2025
Statement
The Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc commemorates the 77th anniversary of the Nakba — the catastrophe of the occupation of Palestine by the Zionist entity — the start of a bloody colonial project aimed at uprooting the Palestinian people from their land and erasing their identity. Seventy-seven years of killing, displacement, starvation, siege and destruction, during which the Palestinian people have shown legendary steadfastness, convinced of the justice of their cause and their right to freedom and independence.
This anniversary comes as our Palestinian people in Gaza live through dark days under a brutal Zionist aggression that has struck people and stone alike and violated every international norm and convention, amid shameful international silence and disgraceful official inaction. We at the Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc strongly condemn these crimes, demand that the international community shoulder its responsibilities towards innocent civilians, and call on free people everywhere to show solidarity and support humanitarian relief and reconstruction efforts.
We renew our steadfast support for the just Palestinian cause and for the Palestinian people’s right of return, self-determination and an independent state on the 1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
Palestine is in our hearts… and rights do not lapse with time.
For the National Executive Bureau — Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc.
One Homeland, One Nation, One History, One Destiny
