Bloc marks the 52nd anniversary of the founding of the Polisario Front

The Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc proudly marks the 52nd anniversary of the founding of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Saguia el-Hamra and Río de Oro (Polisario), established on 10 May 1973 by heroes who fought for the freedom of the Sahrawi people.

After its founding, the armed struggle was launched on 20 May 1973, marking the start of a long fight to restore the Sahrawi people’s legitimate rights to self-determination and to build their independent state.

On this national occasion, we renew our steadfast support for the brotherly Sahrawi people and back all peaceful and legitimate efforts to achieve the independence of Western Sahara and end the suffering of its steadfast people.
