Africa News: an initiative to institutionalise support for Palestine, from Parliament to Arab forums

From consultation to action: Algeria leads support for Palestine towards Arab institutions!

In today's issue of the daily Africa News (Sunday 27 July 2025), page 16 covers an unprecedented Algerian initiative to institutionalise support for the Palestinian cause, from Parliament to Arab forums.

With the participation of the Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc and the national committee in support of the Palestinian cause, the following were requested:

• a united stand in Parliament in support of Gaza;
• a strong address on behalf of Algeria at the Arab Parliament;
• moving support for Palestine from “good intentions” to “collective institutional and diplomatic action”;
• highlighting “the legend of Palestinian steadfastness” as an example of legitimate resistance.

Algeria's message is clear: Palestine is not a political card but a cause of principle, identity and shared destiny.
