Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc attends closing of the 13th summer university of Polisario Front cadres in Boumerdès

In keeping with its steadfast national principles and its support for liberation causes around the world, foremost among them that of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, the Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc Foundation took part in the closing of the 13th summer university for cadres of the Polisario Front, hosted by Boumerdès wilaya under the slogan “Struggle and sacrifice to secure independence and freedom”.

The Foundation was represented by Ms Meriem Fettati, member of the National Bureau and coordinator for Adrar wilaya, on behalf of Mr Djelloul Chetouane, President of the Foundation, as part of an official delegation, alongside senior Algerian state officials, representatives of the national parliamentary institutions and consultative bodies attached to the Presidency of the Republic, delegations from the Sahrawi Republic and ambassadors of brotherly countries.

The ceremony drew a large attendance, led by the Wali of Boumerdès, several African ambassadors, Polisario Front cadres, representatives of the Observatory and the civil and security authorities. It featured several speeches and concluded with awards and a lunch in honour of guests and participants.

On this occasion, the Foundation reaffirmed its leadership's principled position in support of just causes, above all the Sahrawi cause as a question of decolonisation and the legitimate right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination, in line with the constant position of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in support of liberation and justice worldwide.

The Foundation thanks Ms Meriem Fettati for her honourable and effective representation, and renews its call on the international community to shoulder its responsibility in enabling the Sahrawi people to obtain their legitimate rights, stressing the need to step up advocacy and media efforts until the cause fully achieves its goals.
