Palestine is a firm creed… Algeria supports the free by deeds, not words

The Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc is following with great attention the systematic disinformation campaigns waged by voices known for their hostility to Algeria, which are desperately trying to cast doubt on the principled and historic position of the Algerian state on the Palestinian cause. These suspect circles have tried to exploit isolated incidents and present them as alleged evidence of a “retreat” or “abandonment” of support for Palestine, a false claim and blatant disinformation.

We therefore wish to clarify the following to national and international public opinion:

• First: for Algeria, its people and state, the Palestinian cause is a firmly rooted national creed and an integral part of the state's identity, not a card for political one-upmanship or media showmanship. Our support for Palestine is a strategic and responsible act led by the sovereign institutions of the state.
• Second: the Algerian state, in its wisdom and foresight, draws a clear distinction between genuine, institutional support for the cause and isolated individual initiatives which, even if well-intentioned, can be exploited by foreign agendas seeking to embarrass Algeria or undermine its sovereignty.
• Third: the Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc highly commends the leading role of Algerian diplomacy, fully demonstrated since Algeria took up its seat as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2024–2025, turning this UN platform into a voice for oppressed peoples and a line of defence for just causes, above all the Palestinian cause.
• Fourth: the clearest proof of this role was Algeria's immediate request for an emergency session of the Security Council right after the brutal Zionist aggression that violated the sovereignty of the brotherly State of Qatar in its capital, Doha. That is real support: confronting the enemy in international forums, defending the sovereignty of the Arab nation and activating international law to deter the aggressor.
• Fifth: we call on our proud people to remain vigilant against these campaigns aimed at undermining trust between the people and their institutions. They want to distract us with side battles to push through their plans, but we stand guard, holding fast to our state's achievements and proud of its active diplomacy.

The Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc will remain, as it pledged to the people, the protective shield of the home front, and will firmly oppose any attempt to undermine the nation's sovereignty or to outbid it on its firm principles.
