Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc commends El Hadi Ould Ali’s rejection of calls for “Kabyle independence”

Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc is following with great attention the separatist calls being circulated that undermine the unity of the national territory. In this context, the Bloc highly commends the statement issued by Mr El Hadi Ould Ali, adviser to the Bloc, former Minister of Youth and Sports, current president of JS Kabylie and former official of the Berber Cultural Movement, in which he clearly and responsibly expressed his categorical rejection of the so-called call for “Kabyle independence”.
The position expressed by Mr El Hadi Ould Ali is consistent with the Bloc’s enduring principles: defending national unity, preserving cultural diversity within the one Algerian State, and rejecting all projects that seek to break up the national fabric or exploit cultural and linguistic issues to serve separatist agendas.
The Bloc affirms that the Amazigh question has been and remains a unifying national cause for which Algerians struggled within unity, not outside it, and that Kabylie has historically been a key pillar of the national movement, the Liberation Revolution and the building of the modern Algerian State.
It stresses that defending cultural and linguistic rights, consolidating democracy and strengthening the rule of law can only be achieved within a united Algeria, strong in its diversity and cohesive in the unity of its people.
Expressing its full support for all responsible national positions that put the supreme interest of the nation first, Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc renews its absolute rejection of any separatist call and urges awareness and vigilance at this sensitive stage, as well as a stronger discourse of unity and national cohesion.
Long live one, united Algeria. Glory and eternity to our righteous martyrs.
