Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc hails the ANP operation against smuggling networks in the 3rd Military Region

Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc expresses its high appreciation and great pride in the qualitative operation carried out by units of the People’s National Army, border guards and Algerian customs in the 3rd Military Region, which neutralised smugglers of Moroccan nationality operating within cross-border criminal networks targeting the security of Algeria and its society.

The repeated involvement of Moroccan smugglers in drug and arms trafficking across our western borders is no longer a matter of isolated criminal acts; it clearly reflects the abject failure of the Moroccan authorities to curb these networks — or even their turning a blind eye — at a time when drugs are used as a dirty weapon to destabilise states and target their youth.

The Bloc affirms that the Kingdom of Morocco bears full political and moral responsibility for the expansion of these criminal networks from its territory, especially as growing evidence links smuggling to systematic policies aimed at exporting internal crises to neighbouring countries.

Algeria, led by its security and military institutions, proves once again that it is an impregnable sovereign State and that its borders are a red line, defended with firmness and by law, not with niceties or silence.

Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc renews:

• its absolute support for the People’s National Army;
• its call on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities regarding the threat of cross-border drugs;
• its affirmation that Algeria’s security is non-negotiable.
