As part of engaging with current issues linked to the digital world, Dr Abdelkader Gatcha, official spokesman of Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc, took a prominent part in the study day organised by the University of Médéa on polarisation discourse in the digital age.
He presented a scientific paper entitled “Informational Fatigue in the Face of Challenges and Stakes of Disinformation”, addressing information fatigue amid the intense flow of digital content, warning against the spread of fake news and disinformation on social media and exposing the role of algorithms in steering public opinion and polarising audiences.
He also stressed the importance of building digital awareness and verifying information before sharing it, calling for modern tools, foremost artificial intelligence, to be harnessed against disinformation campaigns.
This participation confirms Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc’s commitment to contributing actively to scientific and intellectual debate and keeping pace with digital change, in order to protect public awareness and promote responsible, balanced discourse.
