Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc reaffirms its independence from political parties and leaves members free in elections

The Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc reaffirms its firm commitment to its independent civil and community path and its active involvement in supporting all national initiatives aimed at strengthening national unity, consolidating stability and serving citizens, within the framework of the "community reunion" initiative based on dialogue, openness and complementarity among all stakeholders.

The Bloc stresses that it is not a political party and will not submit to any party tutelage, while fully preserving the independence of its decisions and positions, as an open national civil space for the country's talents and energies, away from partisan alignments.

In this context, the Bloc clarifies that the positions of some of its members or affiliates within national parties – such as the National Liberation Front, El Moustakbal Front, the El Bina Movement, the Rally of Hope for Algeria (TAJ), El Karama Party, Sawt Echaab Party and the National Democratic Rally – remain personal positions that do not necessarily reflect its official stance, which keeps an equal distance from all political formations.

The Bloc also grants its activists and members full freedom to take part in elections according to their personal convictions, whether on independent lists or within national parties, while respecting freedom of choice, political pluralism and service to the nation.

A previous electoral experience

The Bloc recalls its previous participation in elections in 41 wilayas, during which it collected more than 47,000 endorsement forms, reflecting the scale of its field presence and of popular engagement with its community project.

This participation was crowned with 11 seats in the People's National Assembly, an experience the Bloc regards as a decisive milestone for drawing lessons, reinforcing accountability and developing field work beyond election cycles alone.

That period remains part of its activist memory, with field meetings and direct outreach campaigns that strengthened its conviction that real work stems from the ground.

General political position

The Bloc reaffirms that it is an independent civil organisation, belonging to no party and under no party tutelage, while respecting all national formations and believing in dialogue, openness and service to the public good.

It stresses that true continuity is not measured by seats or elections alone, but by field presence, service to citizens, building bridges of trust and fostering collective action, in the service of Algeria, its unity and its stability.
