Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc joins Algiers symposium marking 53 years since the founding of the Polisario Front

The Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc took part in the events commemorating the 53rd anniversary of the founding of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Saguia el-Hamra and Río de Oro and the launch of the armed struggle against Spanish colonialism in 1973, through the symposium held in Algiers under the title "Decolonising Western Sahara: the Polisario Front, 53 years of resistance for self-determination".

The Bloc was represented by its vice-president, Mr Salah Tiza, and reaffirmed on this occasion that the Sahrawi question remains a matter of decolonisation within the framework of international legality and the resolutions of the United Nations and the African Union.

The Bloc also reaffirms its steadfast support for the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination, free from all forms of disinformation or fait accompli, and stresses the importance of just and peaceful solutions that preserve regional stability and the rights of peoples.

With its history of liberation and its principled positions, Algeria has remained faithful to supporting just liberation causes around the world, a stance consistent with the values of the November Revolution and the principles of international law.

Glory to free peoples, and victory to all just causes.
