Bloc: patriotism is a matter of commitment, and respect for Algeria's sovereignty comes first

We did not wish to comment on this event, given its sensitivity and the complexity of its dimensions, but we believe that patriotism is not merely belonging by origin; it is a commitment expressed in one's positions and respect for the sovereignty of nations and their institutions.
The Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc has always called, and will always call, for sincere patriotism: Algeria is a trust whose soil was watered with the blood of martyrs, and belonging to it is a responsibility before it is a matter of roots or identity.
People may differ in their opinions and convictions, but when it comes to Algeria, respect for its sovereignty and internal affairs must remain above all else. Love of the homeland is expressed through wisdom and through care not to drag its name into matters that could deepen divisions or be exploited out of context.
A true Algerian is measured not only by origins but by how deeply they embrace patriotic values, their loyalty to Algeria's history and their awareness of the sacrifices that won its independence. For us, Algeria will remain a red line and a homeland that unites its children under one flag, in loyalty to the martyrs' pledge and to safeguard its unity and sovereignty.
One Homeland, One Nation, One History, One Destiny
