Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc pays tribute to the martyrs on the anniversary of the 1 November 1954 Revolution

On this immortal day, the First of November, we proudly recall the epic of a dignified people who believed in their freedom and won their independence with the pure blood of their sons and daughters.

This is no ordinary anniversary: it carries the fragrance of glory and the spirit of the martyrs who watered the soil of Algeria with their blood so that its flag would fly high among the nations.

On this glorious day, Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc stands in humble reverence, praying for the caravans of righteous martyrs whose heroism wrote the dawn of the new Algeria.

Foremost among these heroes, we salute the memory of the martyr Souikat Ahmed, known as “Ahmed Bathi”, one of the symbols of the proud Ouarsenis mountains, a political commissar and an activist in thought and spirit for the homeland.

He believed that the word of resistance is no less powerful than the bullet, and that liberating the human being is the path to liberating the homeland.

He was among those who combined revolutionary thought with a deep faith in the justice of the cause, and his name is inscribed in the record of the immortals.

The Bloc also honours all the righteous martyrs of the nation, across every region of Algeria, who confronted French colonialism with courage and faith, among them:

  • the martyr Boualem Rahal, “El Meqnine”, who faced the guillotine with the smile of the brave;
  • the child martyr Omar Yacef, “Little Omar”, a symbol of resisting innocence in the Battle of Algiers;
  • the moudjahida Fatma Loucif, a beacon of the struggle in the Aurès mountains;
  • the martyr Yamina Echaïb, “Zoulikha”, and her companion Mohamed Saïd Aïssani, who embraced martyrdom and immortality together;
  • the martyrs Ali Lalmani, Abdelhak Kouissem and Miloud Bouguandoura, and all the unknown heroes who drew the map of freedom with their blood.

These heroes, including the martyr Souikat Ahmed (Ahmed Bathi), are the school that produced a patriotic generation committed to one Algeria, the State of the martyrs, a land of pride and dignity.

As we renew, within Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc, our pledge to follow in their footsteps, we affirm that our mission is a continuation of theirs:

protecting national sovereignty, consolidating unity, and serving Algeria with integrity and loyalty to their pure blood.

May God have mercy on our righteous martyrs. Glory and eternity to our glorious Revolution. Long live a free and independent Algeria.
