Mandate and missions
The Women’s Activities Committee works to widen women’s place in the Bloc’s structures and in civic and public life, and supports initiatives led by or for women in social, economic and cultural fields.
It works with the women’s affairs officer of the National Executive Bureau and with the women’s officers that the statutes provide for in every wilaya coordination (art. 44), allowing a network that reaches down to local level. Its monthly report goes to the National Executive Bureau.
- Encourage women to join the Bloc’s structures, committees and coordinations.
- Support women’s associations and initiatives that are members of the Bloc.
- Run awareness and training activities for women in urban and rural areas.
- Promote and showcase women’s economic initiatives.
- Mark dates dedicated to women, including International Women’s Day (8 March).
- Coordinate the women’s officers of the wilaya coordinations.
